What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

• Assist in the design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Conducts research and makes recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
• Monitors and analyzes network performance across the organization\xe2\x80\x99s LANs, WANs, and wireless deployments.
• Ensures the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks.
• Monitors system capacity to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands.
• Identifies and remedies network performance bottlenecks.
• Configures and troubleshoots servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
• Installs and configures all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.
• Ensures network and IP connectivity of all workstations, application servers, and back-end office infrastructure.
• Handles escalation of problems forwarded by team members either through resolution or coaching.
• Perform VMware vCenter and ESX upgrades and patching
• Actively looks for opportunities to improve system and application efficiencies.
• Develops and maintains system-related documentation to facilitate implementation and/or adoption of system changes.
• Identifies solutions to meet and continuously improve system performance and uptime. Recommends enhancements to meet new system demands.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need: \xc2\xb7 Certifications: that include ITIL, VMware, and Microsoft MCSE are highly valued along with Fortinet NSE4 and NSE7. \xc2\xb7 College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 4 years equivalent work experience. \xc2\xb7 Extensive hands-on technical knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, Firewalls, VPN , Routing and NAT\xe2\x80\x99ing. \xc2\xb7 Experience with mid to large-size server operations including daily operations and maintenance. \xc2\xb7 Experience with project-based work such as migrations, upgrades \xc2\xb7 Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting, and managing server environments \xc2\xb7 Proficient with Linux or Windows Server (including services \xe2\x80\x93 DNS, DHCP, etc), Active Directory, Exchange, RDS Server Farms \xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools \xc2\xb7 Strong experience with VMware; Clustering, Distributed Switches, vCenter, vRealize ops/log insights, vCloud Director, NSX, DRS, HA, vSAN \xc2\xb7 Experience in migrating workloads to/from on-premises to VMware. \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Azure. \xc2\xb7 Experience working and managing blade servers.
