We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to food safety and excellent service.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and maintain quality.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment is essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a must.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
