We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices. Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of our guests. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Experience in Japanese restaurant environments is preferred. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen. Previous experience in meal preparation or line cooking is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
