Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Follow all food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, cooking techniques, and meal preparation processes. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to grow within the food industry. Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
