Churrasco Villa, a full-service dine-in, take-out restaurant, open Tuesday - Sunday, located at Mount Pleasant and Eglinton is seeking a Line Cook and Prep Cook to join our team, working in an open concept kitchen, specializing in Portuguese charcoal grill style churrasco.
You have previous kitchen experience safely preparing and cooking raw meats, fish, seafood and poultry. Additional experience with prep, various kitchen preparation styles (i.e. Fryer/Grill/Salads/Pasta).
1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing poultry, meats, fish and seafood.
Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure in fast-paced restaurant environment
Follow recipes, maintain portion control and ensure consistency and quality
Assist with food inventory management and stock control as needed.
BBQ experience an asset.
Assist in all aspects of kitchen preparation, cleanliness of work area/equipment following food safety standards
Prepare and maintain station throughout service
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Must be able to communicate clearly within the team.
Knife skills and experience in the use of kitchen equipment
Receive, inspect, and properly store all deliveries, ensuring product quality and food safety.
Perform other duties and responsibilities to support the kitchen operations
Flexible schedule, available for day/evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Food handling and health & safety training an asset
Hourly Rate plus "Tip-Out"

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
