We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in the restaurant or food service industry. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
Assist in meal preparation for special events and catering as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
