As a Line Cook at Vansuya Restaurant and Bar, you will play a key role in the preparation and presentation of our signature dishes. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure the highest quality and consistency of our cuisine, providing a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:



Food Preparation:

Prepare and cook a variety of Nigerian dishes, including soups, stews, rice dishes, grilled meats, and traditional sides. Follow recipes and cooking techniques to maintain the restaurant's standards.Ensure all food items are prepared and presented in a visually appealing and timely manner.

Quality Control:

Maintain the quality and freshness of ingredients.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper cooking and food safety.Taste and adjust seasonings as needed to achieve the desired flavors.

Kitchen Organization:

Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
Stock and replenish food supplies as needed.Assist with inventory management and report any shortages or issues.Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.Handle and store food items properly to prevent contamination.Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:



Collaboration:

Work closely with other members of the culinary team, including chefs and fellow line cooks, to coordinate food preparation.

Safety and Hygiene:

Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Previous experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant, preferably with knowledge of Nigerian cuisine. Familiarity with Nigerian cooking techniques, ingredients, and spices is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills, including knife skills, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle high-stress situations. Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
