We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and cooking techniques to produce menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for guests.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food handling practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
Familiarity with food service operations, meal preparation techniques, and food safety regulations is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn about various cuisines and cooking methods will be highly valued.
