We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting in meal preparation, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. Duties
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure efficient service
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supplies needed
Adhere to serving protocols when plating and presenting dishes to ensure customer satisfaction
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
Knowledge of meal preparation and serving procedures preferred
Attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness standards
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays
