We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling and storage of food products
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
Skills
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
Previous kitchen experience is a plus, particularly in meal preparation and line cooking
