We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a restaurant setting is preferred.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation of meals.
Wok cooking experience is a plus, especially in Asian-style cuisine or high-heat cooking environments.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
