We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly while adhering to food safety standards.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are prepared in a safe and sanitary manner.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
