We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in regular training sessions on food safety and culinary techniques.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy environment.
