We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality meals to our guests. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, and measuring food items
Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all guests
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is essential
Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting
A passion for meal preparation and an eagerness to learn new culinary skills
