We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes before in An Indian Restaurant. This role involves both cooking and food preparation, ensuring that every meal meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, etc.
Cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist in the development of new menu items and contribute creative ideas for meal preparation
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Handle food safely and responsibly, following all guidelines for food handling and sanitation
Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management
Experience
Previous experience in a Indian restaurant or kitchen setting is must, showcasing familiarity with food service operations
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
Experience with meal preparation, including cooking techniques and presentation skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff
