We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing delicious meals to our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen procedures.
Experience
Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food handling practices, meal preparation techniques, and kitchen operations is beneficial.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts.
