We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties and equipment maintenance
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools
Attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the food industry
