Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to support the Copper Bottom Brewing team by supporting day-to-day kitchen operations. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure the smooth execution of kitchen activities. The Line Cook will perform various kitchen tasks with guidance and training. Multi-tasking, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail are paramount. The line cook must know all OH&S standards defined by the province. Copper Bottom's overall appearance of food is a primary responsibility of this position.
Prep and prepare essential components of each dish on the menu using our proven recipes.
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Memorize and follow SOPs to utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
Ensure the kitchen, food prep, and storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
Assist in reporting product freshness and rotating out old products based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
Ability to work on your feet for eight hours a day.
High level of professionalism
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds regularly
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Ensure all food items are prepared on time
Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef
Being an everyday ambassador for delicious CBB food and beer.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Line Cook in the food service industry
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Understanding of food safety practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Culinary school diploma preferred
