Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and that our guests receive delicious meals prepared with care.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices. Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for guests. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management. Participate in regular kitchen clean-up duties, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional meals that delight customers. Pay: $17.00-$19.50 per hour
