We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service, including chopping, slicing, and marinating
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours
Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure consistency and excellence
Handle food items safely, following proper food handling procedures at all times
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Teamwork skills, ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
English and Cantonese will be a plus
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
