We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently during service. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure safe food handling.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages.
Assist in plating dishes for presentation before serving.
Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
