We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring that our restaurant delivers high-quality meals to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and familiarity with various cooking methods.
Understanding of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
