We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
Support the Head Chef in menu planning and special event preparations.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and presentation.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and food handling procedures.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for the food industry and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
