We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering exceptional meals to our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service, including chopping, slicing, and marinating
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while handling food products
Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff
