We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will share roles in the kitchen prepping in the mornings and cooking in the evenings, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and small environment.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
Proficient in food handling techniques and meal preparation methods.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
