Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing / cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. A strong background in food service and kitchen operations is essential for success in this position.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager Follow all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
