We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong understanding of food safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while adhering to our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the food industry
