Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook with experience to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver high-quality dishes while adhering to food safety standards. Experience with Greek cuisine is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Ensure all food safety and handling procedures are followed to maintain high hygiene standards. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Help with menu planning and special requests as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques.

Skills

Proficient in meal preparation techniques and understanding of various cooking methods. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation and service of meals. Attention to detail in maintaining quality standards for food presentation and taste. Ability to adapt quickly to changing menus or customer requests.
