We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe cooking environment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or needs.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setup and breakdown of the kitchen at the beginning and end of shifts.
Skills
Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods relevant to the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
