We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and adherence to food safety standards.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
