We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all dishes are served in a timely manner while adhering to our restaurant's specifications.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Follow food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
