We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
