We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Assist with plating dishes for service and ensure presentation meets restaurant standards.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of shifts.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
