Purpose:



To create and produce the dishes while always prioritizing the established standards in terms of recipes, presentation and preparation as well as hygiene, cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities:



Following the products' quality and quantity standards.



Follows the established standards regarding recipes, servings, dish presentation and required delays.

Set up and kitchen operations:



Makes sure the set up related to the kitchen is done properly both at the beginning and end of his shift. (i.e. hot table, cold table, etc.). Cuts, washes and handles the foods, etc.

Follows internal policies:



Follows the established dress code and hygiene standards. Always wears a hairnet or cap and makes sure his hands are always clean. Follows the established safety standards.

Contributes to stock management and cost control:



Contributes to the rotation of the stock in the refrigerators and freezers. Works jointly with the team leader to make projections regarding food thawing and set ups. Contributes to prevent waste. Makes recommendations to his direct supervisor regarding food orders that need to be made.

Maintenance of the premises and equipment:



Handles the daily cleaning duties. Oversees the preventive maintenance of the equipment. Always cooperates with his colleagues to help them complete their maintenance duties.

Contribution to the creation of a healthy work environment:



Ability to be a team player not only with the kitchen personnel but with the service staff as well. Communicates any comments, suggestions, dissatisfaction or requests to his supervisor. Takes part in meetings.

General contributions:



Contributes to washing dishes in the absence of the person assigned to the dishwashing station. Handles any other duty as requested by his immediate supervisor.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
