We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure the safe handling of all food products.
Assist in plating dishes for service, ensuring that each plate meets presentation standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to manage workflow during busy service periods.
Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of meal preparation processes and food handling procedures.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
