We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety of all food products.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation and cooking.
