We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to excellence in service and quality.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling and storage of food products.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Participate in menu planning and development as needed, contributing ideas for new dishes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
