Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pantry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the food preparation process, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for use in various dishes. The Pantry Chef will work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety and quality while contributing to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and organize ingredients for daily meal service, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, dressings, and garnishes as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area, ensuring all items are stored properly. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food is served. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to support menu execution and special requests. Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and communicate needs to management. Help train new kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques and safety standards.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures. Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Proficient in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members seamlessly. A passion for the culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills within the kitchen.
