We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pantry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food handling, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, organized, and ready for use. This position requires a passion for the food industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Prepare and organize ingredients for daily meal service, ensuring all items are prepped according to recipes and specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area, including proper storage of food items.
Assist in meal preparation by cooking and assembling dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals served.
Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
Participate in training sessions on food safety and kitchen best practices.
Skills
Proven experience in food service or within the food industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Ability to assist with meal preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment as part of a team.
