Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for meals according to recipes and specifications. Assist in cooking and assembling dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled safely and prepared in a hygienic manner. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report shortages to management. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning workstations and equipment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
