Ross Medical is a new Clinic facility in downtown Red Deer . We are wanting to hire an LPN / MOA to support the Physician's doing Lumps & Bumps at our clinic. Our clinic will have both private and public services by referrals, utilizing the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement. He/she will ensure initial and ongoing communication with all external patients and internal staff is conducted in a manner which supports the Ross Medical Clinic mission, values, patients, and employee rights statements. The LPN / MOA will provide clerical and patient support in all functions to Ross Medical Clinic as required. The LPN/MOA will validate information through qualitative communication with the team.

Summary
The LPN / MOA is responsible for the effective and efficient receipt of Ross Medical private and public service referrals, utilizing the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement. He/she ensures initial and ongoing communication with all patients and internal staff. The LPN will conduct themselves in a manner which supports Ross Medical's mission, values, patients, and employee rights statements. The LPN / MOA will provide clerical support functions at Ross Medical as required. Ross Medical's goal for data collection and maintaining the integrity of system reporting and recording is key to assure the patients' medical records are being properly maintained. The LPN / MOA will validate information through qualitative communication with the medical team and the patients.
Job Duties
Ensure accuracy of service requests, patient information, and other related data through the implementation of each patient file via the computerized EMR.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the EMR systems, which facilitates the effective and efficient management of communication.
Be able to manage the reception, ensure effective and efficient phone communication, and to ensure that all incoming calls are responsive topatient needs.
Ensure that appropriate individuals are apprised in a timely manner of all communication received which is positive and/or negative and impacts on service provision by reporting and documenting patients relayed comments.
Monitor, and participate in recommendations for improvements to communication systems which support Ross Medical's goal for patient responsiveness.
Inform them of any significant developments which have a potential impact on the clinic's operations.
Communicate effectively to all patients, medical supply representatives, and internal staff in a manner which supports Ross Medical's mission, values, employee and patient right's statements and its commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement.
Participate as a constructive member of Ross Medical's Clinical Team.
Fulfill all responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the organizational system, standards, policies, and applicable legislation.
Participate in task audits as a continuous improvement and quality control measure for position excellence.
Maintain the integrity of systems and ensures appropriate backup in the event of system failures.
Communicate in a timely and positive manner with the Operations Manager regarding significant developments, regarding the quality of data collection and adherence to Record of Service policies.
Utilize Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Control mechanisms to ensure the integrity of data collection.
Effectively utilize other members of the Company's team to ensure timely, accurate submission and maintenance of the Company's information systems.
Communicate in a timely manner with the Operations Manager regarding design and job content, specific objectives, personal performance and provide an action plan to achieve performance objectives.
Requirements
2 yr. Experience in a medical clinic preferred.
Educational background and/or experience to support the ability to assume the position responsibilities upon hire.
Medical terminology.
Proven communication, interpersonal, coordinating, and organizational skills.
Exceptionally demonstrated ability in organizational and time management skills.
Ability to function independently within a team environment.
Working knowledge of computer applications/information systems utilized by Ross Medical at the time of hire and the proven ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
Preference given to those who have experience and/or knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Control initiatives.
Working Conditions
May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to the AIDS and hepatitis B viruses.
Interacts with patients, family members, staff, and medical supply representatives.
Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers.
