Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Care Manager, Lamont Home Care, you will utilize your strong assessment, organizational, and leadership skills to provide leadership and supervision of health care aides and deliver quality nursing care to clients in the community. The successful candidate will play a key role on the interdisciplinary team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic, client and family center care. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

As Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialty modules in Gerontology and Community Care preferred. Community Nursing experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills and time management. Demonstrated and effective communication skills. Ability to actively participate in a collaborative approach to meeting health goals. Familiarity with computer applications: Internet, Microsoft Office, Connect Care training an asset. Experience in wound care, palliative care, HPT and client teaching.
