Job Description

We are seeking two compassionate and reliable caregivers to join our amazing care team for:

1) Friday through Sunday morning/day shifts including holidays. Shift schedule to be 7:00am to 1:30pm Fridays and Saturdays and 7:00am to 5:00pm Sundays.

2) Saturday overnight shifts (7pm-7am). Additional back up shifts may also be available regularly.

You will be responsible to assist my parents (primarily my Father) in their West Kelowna home with:

Mobility transfers including standing from seated or lying positions, toileting, and walking stability (client is 6'3" and approximately 130 pounds) Personal care (toileting, showering, grooming, dressing, condom catheter application and/or removal (based on shift), etc.) Companionship and stimulating activities Supervising and directing daily in-home exercise and assisting the client with outside group-led exercise classes Healthy meal preparation and feeding ass and supervision Medication reminders and administration (oral), glucose and blood pressure checks Laundry and housekeeping
The ideal candidate will need to:

be fluent in English currently reside within a 30 minute drive to West Kelowna, BC hold/held a health care aide license and/or have two years of previous caregiving experience have a compassionate, patient and empathetic approach towards clients' needs able to handle physical demands related to transfers be willing to complete a vulnerable sector criminal record check
Experience working with Parkinson's patients and interest in old cars is an asset.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 23 per week
