Danone Canada is looking for a Legal Intern in Ontario or Quebec.

Mission: As a Legal Intern at Danone Canada and member of the Canadian legal team, you will work on dynamic legal issues, namely in the food, advertising and contract sectors and assist in providing legal guidance. You will assist in proactively assessing legal risks and increasing the level of legal knowledge within Danone Canada. You will be at the forefront of exciting partnerships and negotiations and will help shape Danone Canada\'s legal and compliance frameworks, ultimately promoting and protecting the business

More specifically:

Under supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel, promote and protect Danone\'s businesses, innovations and assets by ensuring the respect of legal and compliance frameworks, according to Danone\'s Corporate policies and applicable laws;

Assist with advising on marketing and advertising, food law, promotions law, regulatory, IP, social media, consumer complaints, anti-spam legislation, data privacy for all Danone businesses in Canada;

Ensure compliance of communications, on all supports (TV copies, video clips, Radio spots, Billboards, leaflets, websites, POS or health care professionals materials, etc.), with internally defined guidelines and positions as well as with applicable Canadian legislation;

Monitor and anticipate legal trends and help facilitate comprehensive and on-going knowledge of subjects that have the potential to impact the businesses in Canada;

Update internal knowledge libraries and inform internal stakeholders on changes to Competition law, Contracts, Advertising & Promotions law, Data Privacy and Anti-Spam laws.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

Candidate for a Juris Doctor degree (JD) or Bachelor of Law (L.L.B.) from an accredited university

Knowledge of the French language is an important asset;

A strong business sense, pragmatic and results-oriented;

Excellent analysis skills and ability to synthesize;

Very organized, autonomous and takes initiative;

Ability to collaborate and work with multidisciplinary teams;

Very good verbal and written communication skills
