The Role
McCain is excited to offer the opportunity for a summer intern to join our legal team in the Americas.
This opportunity is available to a student studying law at a Canadian University, who is both a diversity advocate, as demonstrated through their educational experience or community involvement, and identifies as a member of a historically marginalized community.
The position will commence in May 2024 and end in August 2024. During this opportunity, you will be exposed to the workings of a busy and diverse regional in-house legal team, based at McCain\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Office in Toronto, Ontario and working with lawyers located in Canada, the United States, Argentina and Brazil as well as legal and business colleagues globally.
As part of the role, you will assist with day-to-day legal matters and varied project work, such as reviewing contract arrangements for a number of business units (e.g. marketing, agriculture, operations), analysis of changes in legal framework, preparation of template materials, assembly and coordination of internal training programs. You will also be responsible for an assignment related to diversity, equity and inclusion. Finally, we expect you to meet our leaders and work closely with our commercial teams.
What You Need to be Succesful
  • Be currently completing your first or second year of an LLB/JD program at a Canadian university;
  • Be commutable to our corporate office in downtown Toronto, Ontario;
  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills;
  • Have a professional, ethical and honest approach;
  • Be energetic, with excitement and enthusiasm for food, particularly French fries!
