The Learning Intern will support the design, development and delivery of learning programs and initiatives for the organization. The intern will assist with creating engaging and effective learning materials, evaluating learning outcomes and providing feedback. The intern will also collaborate with various stakeholders across the business to identify learning needs and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, a creative mindset and strong communication skills.

The Day to Day:
  • Assist with the design, development and delivery of learning programs and initiatives for the organization.
  • Support the functioning of our Learning Management System (LMS), Docebo. This includes uploading content and troubleshooting technical issues for our users.
  • Conduct an employee file audit to ensure managers are properly storing important employee information.
  • Develop and maintain training related forms, job aids and materials.
  • Attend and observe training sessions for various audiences, such as new hires and managers.
  • Learn about best practices and innovative solutions for learning and development.
Qualifications
  • Working towards a degree or diploma in education, instructional design, human resources or a related field
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate is an asset
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI and other e-learning standards is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Prior exposure to multi-unit food & beverage operations as well as working experience in the restaurant industry is a definite asset.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to write effective copy and instructional text.
  • Self starter, flexible, and able to work independently
