We are looking for a Co-Op Student to join our People & Culture team! The Co-op term would run January - April 2024.

You have:
  • Current enrolment in a Human Resources program at an accredited College or University
  • Computer literate with intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer centric approach to dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • A willingness to pitch in where needed
  • Clerical, administrative, customer service, and/or recruiting experience is a definite asset

As a Co-Op Student on the People & Culture team, you will:
  • With support and guidance from the People & Culture team, lead a targeted recruitment project including screening resumes, conducting first round interviews, shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews & offers of employment with hiring managers
  • Utilizing BambooHR, extend offers of employment and hire new employees
  • Utilizing both BambooHR and TalentLMS ensure onboarding tasks are completed within a prescribed timeframe
  • Track and report targeted recruitment statistics to the Director, People & Culture; discuss results and brainstorm ideas
  • Update BambooHR as needed
  • Participate in discussions regarding employee and labour relations issues
  • Assist with KPI tracking
  • Administrative duties including paper and electronic file management, creation of documentation, etc.
