As a Lead Dispatcher, you'll play a key role in ensuring efficient daily operations by coordinating driver schedules, addressing on-route issues, and supporting the dispatch team. You'll act as the main point of contact between drivers, operations, and customer service - making sure routes run smoothly, service issues are resolved promptly, and the team stays on track.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily dispatch operations and route assignments
Support, guide, and coach dispatch staff to meet service goals
Respond to customer and service issues in real time
Work with routing specialists to improve route efficiency
Monitor driver check-ins and ensure accurate documentation
Lead daily safety tailgate meetings
Coordinate with operations, customer service, and maintenance
Maintain accurate dispatch records and data entry
Assist in planning daily driver coverage based on service needs
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation (lead or supervisory experience is an asset)
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
TRUX experience is an asset, or willingness to learn
Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed
Knowledge of routing and scheduling best practices
