Assist cooks with basic food preparation such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and portioning items
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized at all times
Help with receiving and storing deliveries properly
Take out garbage and ensure proper waste disposal
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
Support the kitchen team during busy service hours
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef
Requirements
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Good time management and organizational skills
Ability to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate loads
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn)
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
