Key

Responsibilities:

prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions. Integrate faith-based teachings and values into daily lessons and classroom activities. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with Alberta Education curriculum and FMCSD's educational philosophy. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning, social-emotional development, and spiritual growth. Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development. Integrate faith-based teachings and values into daily lessons and classroom activities. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success and a cohesive school environment. Maintain accurate student records and adhere to all school and division policies and procedures. Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree; a specialization in Early Childhood Education is preferred Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for one. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills Flexible and adaptable Commitment to diversity equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging Organized and able to meet deadlines in accordance with the school schedule Commitment to education and excited to work with students each day
